in-public are very much involved in next years FORMAT photography festival on the theme of Street Photography. FORMAT11 is really going to be the unmissable event of next year for all self respecting Street Photographers. Never before will so much talent from the world of Street Photography have been focused in one place, with exhibitions by street shooters of the past like Helen Levitt, WeeGee and Tony Ray Jones side by side with the work of contemporary photographers like Martin Kollar, Bruce Gilden, Raghu Rai, Frederic Lezmi and the photographers of Magnum.
Running between the 4th March and the 3rd April 2011 with an opening week packed with events, including a day long Street Photography Conference and portfolio reviews, it promises to be a great festival.
in-public photographers will be exhibiting their work at the Derby Museum and Art Gallery and showing a newly commissioned documentary film following many of us shooting on the streets of the UK, US and Australia.
More details from the FORMAT web site.
In-Public was set up in 2000 to provide a home for Street Photographers.
