In-public in Bangkok

All 21 in-public photographers will be exhibiting at TCDC (Thailand Creative & Design Center) in Bangkok next month. The group exhibition will run from the 5th February to 24th March and is being jointly promoted by TCDC and the British Council.

David Gibson and Richard Bram will be will be giving a public talk on Tues 5th February at the TCDC auditorium to launch the exhibition. They will also be in Bangkok to lead a 3-day street photography workshop for the 1st – 3rd February.

The exhibition is an enlarged version of in-public’s show from the FORMAT International Photography Festival in Derby in 2011.

Manifesto

In-Public was set up in 2000 to provide a home for Street Photographers.

Our aim is to promote Street Photography and to continue to explore its possibilities, we are a non commercial collective. All the photographers featured here have been invited to show their work because they have the ability to see the unusual in the everyday and to capture the moment. The pictures remind us that, if we let it, over-familiarity can make us blind to what’s really going on in the world around us.
