Everyone at In-public is delighted to announce that Polish photographer Maciej Dakowicz has joined our ever increasing ranks.
We have long been admirers of Maciej, as a person and a photographer.
Maciej’s “Cardiff After Dark” work has been one of the seminal street photography stories over the last few years, culminating in a beautiful book published by Thames & Hudson in 2012.
As well as Maciej’s love affair with late night Welsh boozers he has also been working hard in Asia where he has been making a completely different, but equally impressive body of work.
Both Cardiff and Asia are now available to view on Maciej’s portfolio page. We sincerely hope you enjoy the photographs as much as we all have over the years.
Welcome to In-public Maciej.
In-Public was set up in 2000 to provide a home for Street Photographers.
Our aim is to promote Street Photography and to continue to explore its possibilities, we are a non commercial collective. All the photographers featured here have been invited to show their work because they have the ability to see the unusual in the everyday and to capture the moment. The pictures remind us that, if we let it, over-familiarity can make us blind to what’s really going on in the world around us.Read more
